Channel Sales Manager

Position Background / Summary:
The Channel Manager is responsible for building and establishing relationships with strategic Partners in the telecom industry to meet and exceed sales goals and expectations. In addition, this position involves creating quotes, giving web-based and phone-based presentations, along with direct sales and prospecting. This job is a remote position.

The ideal candidate should have 8+ years sales experience in the telecom market, and a passion for sales and talking with people. Candidate must be a goal-oriented, self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills and appreciation for professionalism.

The Channel Manager illustrates natural leadership by exercising their ability for nurturing relationships through phone conversations, webinars, emails and working strategically with the Sales and Marketing Departments. This position demands that the Channel Manager be able to work in a fun but high pressure team environment (intra and inter-departmentally) and is able to follow specific instructions, processes and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Cultivates and nurtures professional relationships with new and established Partners
  • Meets and often exceeds sales and revenue objectives both for direct and indirect sales
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates Partner needs on an ongoing basis
  • Promotes and educates Partners of new company programs and services through webinars and meetings
  • Proactively recruits new qualifying Partners on an on-going basis
  • Works closely with Customer Care team to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution
  • Creates interest article white papers and other technical collateral for marketing and communications under the approval of the VP, Channel
  • Contributes to company blog and other marketing efforts under the approval of the VP, Channel
  • The Channel Manager will insure accuracy of the sales process, administrative or electronic, define, redefine and continue to improve the sales process and connecting it with the administrative process so as to render an uncommonly great experience to the end-user
  • The Channel Manager is responsible for creating new Partner recruiting techniques, utilizing all available tools through marketing, blogging, the Etherspeak website, etc., while implementing and developing tools and driving the composition of collateral when need.ed

Defining channels. Channels are:

  • VARs
  • IT Dealers
  • Telephony dealers
  • Resellers
  • Agents (Resale and Wholesale)
  • Master agents
  • Referring agents
  • An entity or a person that can sell/resell any of our product and services

Recruitment – The Channel Manager is accountable for recruiting channels. Methods of recruiting can be done by:

  • Weekly webinars
  • Daily phone calls (cold calls or warm calls)
  • Referrals
  • Networking groups
  • Trade show events

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Achieves assigned sales quota
  • Meets assigned expectations for profitability
  • Passes comprehensive sales training test by week four (determines areas of improvement or possible termination)
  • 90-day performance review
  • Maintains high partner satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
  • Weekly and daily meetings
  • Weekly and monthly reporting

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • – 4 year college degree preferred, equivalent sales and business experience will be considered

  • Years of Experience:
  • – 8-15 years professional sales experience

  • Computer Skills:
  • – PC Proficiency, as well as CRM experience and general understanding of telecom market and technologies

Marketing Specialist

Job Title: Marketing Specialist

Position Background / Summary:
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for a wide variety of marketing duties including web management, planning promotional campaigns, developing price strategies, performing market research and providing fresh content for web and social media.

The ideal candidate should have two or more years of marketing experience, preferably in the telecom market, and a passion for new ideas. Candidate must be a goal-oriented, self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills and appreciation for professionalism.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Update and upload web content in line with company brand and message
  • Create web forms and workflows for integration with other internal platforms
  • Send office closure emails, marketing emails, press releases and special promotions to VAR and customer lists
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contacts to meet deadlines
  • Update social media channels with fresh content on regular basis
  • In coordination with management, provide strategic planning for marketing department on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Creates interest article white papers and other technical collateral for marketing and communications under the approval of the VP, Channel
  • Plan campaigns and promotions for web, social media and radio (and other local or relevant outlets)
  • Research, draft and edit blog content for original and thoughtful web content
  • Keep up to date with the social media space and explore any new relevant channels of marketing to grow customer base
  • Managing the website and all of its components. This includes hosting, optimization, forms, links, images and WordPress updating
  • Through Google Analytics and other monitoring tools, provide reports to management on web traffic, social media engagement and email marketing, etc.
